Tehran (IP)- Iran's Interior Minister said that incentives are considered to help municipalities to promote waste incineration and energy production in the Iranian mega cities .

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Saturday, on the sidelines of a meeting on waste incineration, Abdul Reza Rahmani Fazli referred to the problem of wastes in megacities, specially Iran's northern provinces (Mazandaran, Gilan, and Golestan), which he stressed that it should be taken into consideration. 

Rahmani Fazli talked about a bill being ratified on waste incineration, for which incentives were allowed, including tax exemption up to 25 percent.

He told Iran Press correspondent that Iran's Ministry of Agricultural Jihad  and the Department of Environment also agreed to  prepare space for the incinerators and  to settle them in cities, complying the required standards.

The plan could reduce transportation costs about 20 percent, Rahmani Fazli said remarking the economic dimension of the project, which is to be examined with a month.
