Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the second conference of Mayors and Islamic council members in the field of Defensive Power, Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali said: "Iran has the upper hand against enemies' threats, and officials are trying to utilize this advantage to serve the countries' national interests."
"We possess a very good defensive deterrence in the military field. We saw a young officer sitting in the Persian Gulf monitoring the enemy drone, which means that the country's defence systems and military are perfectly robust, ready, and bravely are playing their role, and this has had many implications in the political and military dimensions," Jalali added according to Iran Press.
Top General noted that "Our first advantage in the region was that when the drone crashed, everyone was expecting a response from the US side but we saw no response and that indicates Iran's power to defend its interests."
"Second, the enemy was claiming that all options were on the table which was untrue and we have seen that all the options went under the table and could not be used, and that indicates decline of American power in the eyes of the world's military strategists," he said.
"Third, we saw that the enemy who had always been encouraging the US to attack Iran turned in to an obstacle on the US attacks because the US believes it has nothing to do with the US because there has been no invasion of the US so it has retreated and of course the warmongers see that if the fire is kindled they will be the firewood of this war," Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Head of Civil Defense Organization noted: "Enemy has started its activity in cyberspace by encouraging people to start a riot. I say that in the economy when we see that our national currency gain 40 percent of its value compared to last year it is because of our people's resistance."
