Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Foreign Ministry in its reaction to some scattered protests in Iraq issue a statement and declared: "The Iraqi government and nation should cooperate with all the groups, parties, and personalities and calm down the current protests in the country. They will not allow the continuation of some of the activities that are harmful to the Iraqi people and will cause alienation."
Iran's Foreign Ministry by stressing the importance of the great march of Arbaeen and the need to hold this magnificent congress, called on the Iranian faithful and the lovers of the Ahlul Bayt al-Islam to postpone their visits to Iraq until the situation in the country change. Demonstrations began in some Iraqi cities, including the capital, Baghdad, on Monday to protest lack of employment and economic problems.
News sources reported the death toll of clashes between security forces and protesters in Baghdad and Dhi Qar province up to Wednesday night climbs to 10 people.
