People of all walks of life in the western city of Kermanshah took part in mourning processions and rituals of Tasu'a, on the 9th day of the mourning month of Muharram, and on the eve of Ashura.

Iran Press/Iran news: Shia and Sunni Muslims of Kermanshah province of Iran are taking part in the mourning rituals of Tasu'a, which is attributed to Imam Hussein's half-brother, because of his bravery in the battle of Karbala.

Tasu'a processions are held a day before the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad and the third Imam of Shia Muslims.
