Iran Press/Iran news: The open session of Iran's parliament (Majlis) was held on Sunday morning, 25th August 2019, chaired by Speaker Ali Larijani, and attended by a total of 218 MPs.
According to Iran press, the open session commenced at 8:22 am and member of the presiding board, Seyyed Amir Hussein Ghazizadeh Hashemi read out the agenda as follows:
(1) Continuing review of a report by the Judicial and Law Commission of the parliament regarding a bill on business and commerce which has been referred back by the Guardian Council. Articles 7 and 8 of this bill were approved by the parliament (Majlis).
(2) Review of a report by the Social Commission of the parliament regarding the formation of a new ministry -- the Ministry of Trade and Commercial Services.
(3) Review of a report by the Judicial and Law Commission of the parliament regarding amendments to existing legislation on charter for administrative justice.
(4) A report by the Economic Commission of the parliament regarding amendments and changes to Direct Taxation Act.
(5) Review of a report by the Development Commission of the parliament (Majlis) regarding an agreement between Iranian and Kuwaiti governments, authorising two-way flights between Iran and Kuwait.
Also MPs paid their tribute and commemorated former martyred President Mohammad Ali Rajaie and martyred Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar, on the occasion of Government week. 203/211
