Iran Press/Iran news: Pointing out to peace and security of the region as one of the elements contributing to economic progress, Farshid Farzanegan asserted that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) knows very well that its progress is tied to peace and security in the Persian Gulf.
"Currently, Iran's Foreign Ministry along with Trade Promotion Organisation are trying to improve relations with our maritime and land neighbors", he said, stressing the necessity of cooperation between the two countries for more economic and political development, Iran Press reported.
Farzanegan said the Iran-UAE joint chamber of commerce wants to solve the problem of those Iranian businessmen whose bank accounts have been frozen in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"I think the economic promotion of UAE, particularly Dubai, depends on Iran and that they are keen to bolster economic ties with Tehran," the head of Iran-UAE joint chamber of commerce said.
Farzanegan pointed out to the 2020 expo in Dubai, noting that the expo provides an opportunity for Iran to create jobs and gain revenue through exports.
Dubai has a population of 3.5 million people out of which 600,000 are Iranians; 6,000 Iranian companies with 8,000 active Iranian businessmen are working there, he said. 101/211/215
