Iranian Foreign Minister announced that the country will be implementing the third incremental step of reducing its commitments within the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that as we stressed before if the JCPOA is not fully implemented by others, we will adhere to it in the same way, and of course, all of our actions have been done within the JCPOA.

All the JCPOA members have come to the same consensus that the US is at the root of all tensions, while Iran's demands have been crystal clear from the beginning and our expectation is the implementation of JCPOA and nothing more, Iranian foreign minister said according to Iran Press.

Referring to some demands by members of the 4 +1 Group for Iran not to proceed with the third step of further reduction of its commitments to JCPOA, Zarif said: "It is up to the Islamic Republic to decide and if the other parties don't fulfil their commitments, this step will be taken just like the previous measures."

On May 8, Iran notified its remaining partners in the 2015 nuclear deal that it would suspend the implementation of some of its commitments in reaction to the US’ unilateral withdrawal and Europe’s failure to live up to its commitments.

The first phase of the measure was kicked off on May 8 and the second phase started on July 7.
