Iran Press/ Iran news: In a statement released on Thursday, IRGC stressed that by imposing a sanction against Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Americans showed that they are mad at the Islamic Revolution's inspirational and anti-authoritarian discourse reflection.
The IRGC announcement came following the US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announcement about putting Iranian FM's name on the US sanctions' list on Wednesday, Iran Press reported.
Describing the US action as a 'ridiculous and meaningless' measure, IRGC statement considered the move, along with 'US Maximum Pressure on Iran Policy', noting that: "However Putting the names of Islamic Republic' officials on the so-called US sanctions list is an ineffectual act which has been repeated from time to time".
"Americans, who have always misused media hegemony for Psychological operations to secure their own interests as well as those of the Zionists, now express anger at the resistance-based diplomacy of Iran against bullies and take actions that even lack the rationale and legal justification for even their own people," the statement highlighted.
