Tehran (IP) - The open session of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) began on Tuesday morning, chaired by the first deputy Speaker, Masoud Pezeshkian, and with attendance of 194 MPs.

Iran Press/ Iran news: The day's agenda was read out by a member of the Majlis presiding board, Seyyed Amir Hussein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, as follows:

(1) Review of a report by the Majlis Economic Commission, regarding a double urgency bill for Banks and Credit and Loan institutions not to levy surplus charges or double penalties on those who fall behind with their loan payments, reported Iran press.

(2) Review of a report by the Majlis Internal Charter Commission about proposed amendments to the Internal Chater of the parliament.

(3) Review of a report by the Education, Research and Technology Commission of the Majlis regarding the acceptance of too many students and overstretching of resources at Islamic Azad University.

(4) Review of a report by the Education, Research and Technology Commission of the Majlis regarding a fatal fire at a girl school in the city of Zahedan, southeastern Iran.

The parliamentary session was initially presided over by the first deputy Speaker Masoud Pezeshkian, and later by Speaker, Ali Larijani.
