A major parade of Iran's armed forces is currently underway in south Tehran, next to the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace).

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, other senior officials and top commanders from the Iranian Army and the IRGC (Islamic Revolution Guard Corps) are attending a major parade which got underway on Thursday morning at the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace). 

For the first time this year, domestically-produced fighter jets, Saegheh, and Kowthar (sometimes written Kowsar) will fly over the parade.

Also for the first time ever the Khatam-ol-Anbia air defense base will display the S-300 missile defense system, the Iranian-built Sayyad II and Sayyad III missiles, and also a variety of advanced RADAR systems and electronic warfare equipment.

Also displayed in the parade will be armor-piercing weaponry, advanced artillery, and helicopters.
