Iran Press/Iran News: Former head and advisor of the National Security Council and, chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces Falih Alfayyadh met Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev in Moscow and discussed issues of defense industry cooperation, and the situation in Syria, the council said on Monday.
"Patrushev and Alfayyadh have discussed various aspects of Russia-Iraq political cooperation, issues of military and defense industry cooperation special attention was paid to the situation in Syria," the Security Council said in its statement, Iran Press reported.
Patrsuhev noted that Alfayyadh's visit was close to September 9, the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between two countries.
On his second day of visiting Moscow, Alfayyadh met with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Special Envoy to Syria Alexander Lavrentiev, and the two sides analyzed and discussed the lastest developments in Syria together with other regional issues.
