Zarif to Europeans: Stop waiting for US permission to fulfil your commitments

Iranian Foreign Minister said that If the Europeans are waiting for the permission of a country that has left the JCPOA and follows the Maximum Pressure policy toward Iran, it will never be granted.

Iran Press/Asia: "I will officially announce the implementation of the third step (in the framework of the JCPOA) in the next few hours to Federica Mogherini," said the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif adding: "Europeans can make this and other two measures are already taken stop if they do their job."

Talking to reporters in Jakarta airport on Thursday, Zarif noted that we neither expect Americans to solve our problems nor they are able to do that. We just expect them not to making troubles and the Europeans also have to conclude that If they want to get permission from the US to fulfill their obligations, the US will never allow them, Iran Press reported."

Addressing the Europeans, Zarif said: "You have not asked to give Iran privilege or doing a favor for our country, you just have to fulfill your obligations. These commitments are neither dependent on the US nor subject to American permission."

"Paragraph 3 of appendix two under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) shows that these obligations are not even the issuance of laws but the enforcement of laws and the Europeans have failed to fulfill their commitments that have nothing to do with the US," the top Iranian diplomat stressed.

Asked about hostile remarks by the US special representative on Iran's affairs Brian Hook, Zarif said the Americans have failed toward both the Iranian people and the Iranian people's representatives, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), represents the proud Iranian people, and the Americans certainly cannot stop defending Iran and preventing its progress.

"Another embarrassing act done by Hook is sending an email to the captain of the Adrian Darya 1 ship expressing a suggestion and not even trying to hide in the diplomatic wrapper saying, "this is my name and responsibility, and you can give us the ship, make a few million dollars, have a good life, and if you don't, you will have a very bad life in the future, "Zarif stated, adding:" it represents not only the moral downturn but also the political and operational downfall of the US that is forced to carry out its failed policy against Iran."

Asked about talks with France, Iranian foreign minister responded that it is in good progress but our negotiations were over how France can fulfill its obligations and it was not about the US.
