Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad

The Syrian president blamed Saudi Arabia's extensive support of ISIS terrorists for their occupation of parts of Syria in 2014.

Iran PressMiddle EastBashar al-Assad said that Saudi Arabia along with the US, France, UK, supported the ISIS terrorists in 2014, which led to the occupation of large parts of the Syrian soil, and financial and human losses of the Syrians.

Also, Bouthaina Shaaban, the political and media advisor to Bashar al-Assad, noted that Turkey injected the terrorists to Syria and the financial support also was carried out by Saudi Arabia. 

The crisis in Syria began in 2011 with a widespread offensive by terrorist groups backed by Saudi Arabia, the United States, and their allies.

With the help of Iran's military consultation and the support of Russia, the Syrian army managed to liberate many parts of the country from the occupation of the US-backed ISIS terrorist outfit.
