Four Afghan civilians killed in US air strikes

An Afghan military official in the northwest of Afghanistan has confirmed that four Afghan civilians were killed in US air strike in Faryab Province.

Iran Press / Asia: An Afghan military official in the northwest of Afghanistan, Mohammad Hanif Rezai, added on Tuesday that 4 out of 18 people who were killed in a US airstrike on Taliban positions in Qurghan district were civilians,  Anadolu news agency reported.

He added that 14 others were members of the Taliban.

America's longest war, which has lasted more than 17 years, continues to take lives in Afghanistan . According to the United Nations, the number of civilians killed in the first half of 2018 reached an eight-year record high.

Also, based on United States Air Forces Central Command munitions data report, in 10 months between January to the end of October 2018, US dropped 5982 bombs on Afghanistan, which means nearly 20 bombs per day, an increase of more than one-third compared to the previous year.
