Iran Press- According to a report by Foreign Ministry Media Department, Zarif is to discuss ways of expanding bilateral ties and cooperation with Pakistani officials.
Zarif will also hold talks with new Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Qasemi said.
The spokesman said that meetings with National Assembly speaker, president of Senate, foreign minister, Commander in-Chief of the army and minister of economy and finance are on Zarif's agenda during his stay in Pakistan.
Pakistan prime minister said in his first televised speech in office that Pakistan is in the worst economic condition it has seen and pledged to cut government spending, end corruption and repatriate public funds.
Also, Khan spoke only briefly on foreign policy. "We will keep good relations with all countries; we want peace as without it no progress and development is possible," he said.
Imran Khan has been as sworn in as Pakistan's new prime minister on Aug 17, 2018 after his party's victory in last month's election.
Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared victory in Pakistan's recently general elections against the party of jailed ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif amid accusations of vote rigging.
Pakistan’s economy expanded at 5.8 percent in the last fiscal year, its quickest pace in 13 years, but the rupee currency has been devalued four times since December. Interest rates have been raised three times.
