Iran's deputy foreign minister, Abbas Araqchi, speaking after a meeting with senior government officials in New Delhi, India on Monday, said: "India is resolved to save the nuclear deal, JCPOA."
In further remarks, Araqchi said: "Considering America's recent quitting of the nuclear agreement with Iran, and its effect on relations with India, the subject of the nuclear deal JCPOA, was an important part of our discussions".
While stressing that Iran is one of India's most reliable suppliers of oil, Araqchi noted that New Delhi had declared its readiness to continue purchasing oil from Tehran.
He also noted that India and other states which cooperate with Iran must find ways to secure Iran’s interests on the basis of the nuclear accord.
