Iran Press/America: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently in ridiculous statements called Iran's oil exports "oil smuggling" and threatened that the Israeli navy could stop Iran's oil smuggling if necessary.
Iran's permanent mission to the UN, in a letter to Security Council on Tuesday, called Netanyahu claims a clear-cut threat to the use of force and contrary to UN objectives and the violation of Article 2 of the Charter of the United Nations, Iran Press reported.
The letter said that irresponsible statements and the threats of the Zionist regime should be severely condemned and prevented.
Iran's permanent mission to the UN also noted that, given the fragile conditions in the Middle East, it is urgent to force the Israeli regime to put an immediate end to any provocative policy and destabilizing activity.
Iran's mission to the UN has called on the Security Council to address the threats posed by the Zionist regime and to respond to all its wrongdoings that put international peace and security at risk, emphasizing that, according to international law, Iran would not question its right to defend itself, in accordance with Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.
The Iranian delegation to the United Nations has requested the registration of this letter as a document of the Security Council.104/213
