Iran Press/ America: New legislation spearheaded by Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) and allies in both the House and Senate would disconnect from the global financial system every Iranian bank which US claims is part of 'Iran's global terror operations', sources told the Washington Free Beacon.
Iran, on the other hand, says it is a victim of terrorism, and the only terror operation run on a global scale belongs to United States of America, and the Israeli regime.
Iran says any talk of an 'Iranian global terror operation' is complete nonsense, totally fictitious and patently untrue.
The Ted Cruz legislation would also treat all Iranian banks as financing terrorism and a money laundering threat, a sign that Iran hawks on Capitol Hill are growing weary with what they view as an effort by the Trump administration to slow roll the sanctions in a bid to appease European allies still working with Tehran.
Since the US unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA on May 8, the European Union has continued backing the multilateral nuclear deal, supporting Iran's right to enjoy the economic benefits of the nuclear deal. The EU announced that its new mechanism to facilitate payments for Iranian exports - known as SPV - would soon be in place, probably in December or January.
