Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Monday, Mohammad Javad Zarif explained the issues raised in this meeting regarding the actions of the diplomatic apparatus in pursuing the perpetrators of the assassination of IRGC's Quds Force late Commander Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani, stating: "Internationally and bilaterally, legal action has been taken inside Iran and Iraq by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
In response to Trump's moves against Iran in the last days of his administration, Zarif also stated: "Iran is neither seeking tension nor war, but the actions of the scandalous leaving government of Trump will not affect the will of the Iranian nation."
"If anyone wants to invade Iran, they have to look at the history of previous aggressions, but I think in the last one or two days of the Trump administration, our deterrence works well," Zarif said.
Regarding the selection of business advisers in Iranian embassies abroad, he said: "During my trip to the region and Russia, I will follow up on sending business advisors, especially for the target countries, but the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is responsible for sending these advisors and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does the necessary cooperation in this regard."
Iran's Foreign Minister also stressed the country's support for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, noting: "Our opposition is on the assault towards residential areas, especially the city of Ganja, which is part of the historical heritage."
Regarding the implementation of the Strategic Action Law to Lift Sanctions, Zarif said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will implement the country's law, regardless of the ministry's analysis. We believe this is the basis of democracy, and the government believes that parliamentary law must be enforced."
He noted: "The parliamentarians were satisfied with my answers to some of their questions, and they need to think about most of the issues under question, and other questions would go to the parliament session.
