Zarif to travel to UNGA on Friday

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi announced on his Twitter account on Thursday that Iranian Foreign Minister is to leave for New York on Friday to attend the UN General Assembly summit.

Iran Press/Iran newsMohammad Javad Zarif tweeted earlier on Thursday that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was trying to delay issuing visas for the Iranian delegation to the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.

However, the United States as the host government, is obliged to issue visas to diplomats who serve at UN headquarters.

Finally, Iran's UN mission announced on Thursday that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit New York for the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations. 101/218
