Iran Press/Asia: Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Yerevan, met with Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan.
He described the visit to Yerevan as a good opportunity to discuss the situation in the region and, referring to the visit of the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development to Armenia this week, expressed hope that the implementation of the agreements during the visit would help expand relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister expressed hope that the differences in the region and between the Republics of Azerbaijan and Armenia would be reduced.
Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan also referred to the cooperation agenda between the two countries and said that bilateral relations would expand in various fields.
Referring to the border dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan in recent weeks, he called it incompatible with the region's stability.
Iran's Foreign Minister, earlier, met with Armenian President Armen Sargsyan.
Zarif had also met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Iran's top diplomat had met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku yesterday.
