Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with the IAEA acting chief Cornel Feruta on Sunday in Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Feruta, is currently in Tehran, where he will meet with senior Iranian officials.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Feruta met Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation (AEOI).

During the meeting, The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation (AEOI), stressed that the landmark nuclear deal between Iran and major world powers known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is certainly not a one-way street, reporetd Iran press.

After the meeting Ali Akbar Salehi commented on his meeting with Cornel Feruta, by saying: "This is his first foreign trip since he took over the leadership of IAEA in July, and we had good and constructive discussions today. We reviewed the long-standing cooperation and activities of Iran and the IAEA over the years, and we also reviewed the events which have happened after the US withdrawal from the JCPOA."

US withdrawal from the deal has had a negative effect on the obligations and commitments of the remaining signatories to the agreement -- the 4+1 countries.
