Iran Press/Iran news: In a telephone conversation, Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Norwegian counterpart Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide consulted on Saturday evening discussing the latest regional and global developments.

In the conversation, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on latest regional developments, JCPOA and of the crash of the Ukrainian passenger plane.

Earlier, Iranian foreign minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif warned against turning the Ukrainian plane crash in Iran into a political issue, calling for attention to be focused on the bereaved families of the victims of this tragedy.

The Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to Ukraine International Airlines crashed near Tehran minutes after take-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday 8 January. All the 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board were killed in the tragic incident.

In reaction to a meeting among foreign ministers of the five countries whose nationals were among the victims of the air disaster, Iran urged all parties to allow the affairs to proceed normally until the completion of the investigations.  101/211/212
