Iran Press/ Iran News: In the open session of the parliament on Sunday, Iranian lawmakers explained their agreement and disagreement about the proposed minister of education Yousef Noori on Sunday.
The opponents argued that Noori lacks a creative-thinking team and that his plans could not be operationalized.
The proponents also argued that the proposed minister's record showed that he had the potential to administer the Ministry of Education. Ultimately, Yousef Noori was appointed by the parliament as the Minister of Education of Iran, with 194 votes in favor, 57 votes against, and 17 abstentions, out of a total number of 268 votes.
Noori was the third minister of education proposed by the administration to the parliament. Hossein Baghgoli and Masoud Fayyazi earlier failed to gain the confidence vote to take office as the minister of education.
Yousef Noori is BA in Education Planning, MA in Administrative Management, and Ph.D. in Tourism Management from Allameh Tabatabai University.
He has been in the administrative post in the education field since 1988.
