Iran Press/ Asia: A solar eclipse or eclipse occurs when the moon's shadow falls on a part of the earth, and as a result, in some parts of the globe, the moon's disk covers part of the sun's disk or all of it from the view of the terrestrial observer.
The moon passes between the sun and the earth during a solar eclipse; this movement prevents sunlight from reaching the earth, and when the moon passes in front of the sun, the shadow of the moon falls on the earth, and the sky becomes dark.
A solar eclipse occurs in three forms: total, partial, and annular, and in each of these forms, parts of the so-called sun are captured.
