Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, the President of Afghanistan, and the leader of North Korea congratulated Iran's President-elect on his victory in Iran's presidential election.

Iran PressIran news: Nichervan Barzani, head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, spoke by phone with Iran's President-elect Ebrahim Raisi.

According to the Public Relations Office of President-elect, Nichervan Barzani congratulated Ebrahim Raisi on his election as President-elect of Iran.

In this phone call, Raisi also thanked the head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region for his kindness and congratulations and expressed hope that with the activation of existing capacities, Iran would see more security in the region and economic convergence.

In another separate event, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of Afghanistan, in a telephone call with Raisi, also congratulated him on his election as President-elect.

Ghani, in a telephone conversation with Raisi, while congratulating him on his election, called the friendly relations between the two countries long-standing and called for expanding cooperation between the two countries.

In this phone call, Raisi praised the congratulatory message of the President of Afghanistan, saying that the foreign policy doctrine of the new administration is based on 'collective security' and 'economic convergence', and expressed hope that the long-standing relations between the two friendly nations of Iran and Afghanistan to deepen more than before.

Furthermore, North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un in a separate message also congratulated Iran's President-elect, expressing his wishes for his excellency success in his responsibility to defend national sovereignty and build a strong Iran.
