Iran Press/Iran news: On Saturday evening, Sorena Sattari, Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology, visited the Science and Technology Park, Cellular Medicine Research Institute, and the Center for University Innovation and Growth at Urmia University, West Azarbaijan Province, Northwest Iran.
The Vice President for Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran also attended the Science and Technology Park of West Azerbaijan Province in Urmia to get acquainted with the latest technological achievements of 15 knowledge-based companies.
On the sidelines of a visit to the Science and Technology Park of West Azerbaijan Province, Sattari stressed the need to take advantage of the geographical location of West Azarbaijan Province due to its proximity to Turkey, saying that the export capacity of knowledge-based companies should increase from this region.
Noting that good things have happened in the field of the knowledge-based economy, Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology said that there are currently more than 5,300 knowledge-based companies in Iran. 101/207
