Iran Press/ Europe: Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov in his latest tweet said that:" It is obvious now that the Vienna talks on JCPOA will not be completed by May 21 as the participants hoped."
He went on to highlight:" May 21 wasn’t a deadline but a target date. It helped us not to forget about time pressure. The talks will continue until the successful outcome."
The quarterly cooperation agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency will end on May 21.
Tehran and the IAEA reached an agreement in early March last year under which Tehran would suspend implementation of the Additional Protocol and keep surveillance cameras at some nuclear facilities out of the reach of IAEA inspectors for up to three months.
Earlier, the head of the Iranian delegation to the Vienna talks, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, had said that the agreement with the IAEA could be extended.
