Beirut (IP) - The secretary-general of Lebanon's Hezbollah says the US move of seizing dozens of news websites exposes Washington's false claims about freedom.

Iran Press/Middle East: In a televised speech on Friday, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah reacted to the measure of the US Department of Justice to block the website of Press TV, Al-Alam, Al-Kawthar, Al-Masira and dozens of news websites with irrational and false excuses, saying that the US decision to seize the Resistance news websites revealed the false claims of US governments about democracy and freedom of expression.

The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah stressed that the Resistance's media the US blocked played an important role in establishing solidarity with the Palestinian nation and taking stances against the US hegemony and ISIS.

Delivering a speech on Friday, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah described the US move as "American media aggression" against media outlets that are affiliated with the culture and axis of Resistance.

Elsewhere in his speech, Nasrallah highlighted the issue of Iran's regional and international negotiations and noted that Iran opposed opening a nuclear case other than the one in the Vienna talks that was being pursued over the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The top Lebanese leader pointed out that Iran refused to negotiate on its ballistic missiles and regional issues.

Nasrallah pointed to Iran-Saudi Arabia negotiations and recalled that said that Iran did not negotiate on behalf of Lebanon, not on behalf of the Lebanese nor Syrians, not on behalf of Palestine nor Yemen nor Afghanistan.

But if Iran was asked for help, it would help as a friend, he added.

Still, Nasrallah referred to the US claims on supporting the Lebanese Army against Hezbollah and called them the US efforts to wage sedition in Lebanon.

Emphasizing Hezbollah's support for Lebanon's Army, Nasrallah said: "It is the United States that is preventing the Lebanese army from getting strong at all levels, and will not allow real aid reach it from the regional countries."

He said the US fears the Lebanese army's capabilities.

Pointing to the economic relations with Iran, Nasrallah said Hezbollah is ready to import fuel and gasoline needed in Lebanon from Iran.
