Iran Press/ America: A State Department spokesman said the US had begun an investigation into the former government's decision on blacklisting the Yemeni Ansarullah movement as a terrorist group and is working on the issue as soon as possible to make a new decision.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently said that Washington would reconsider declaring the Yemeni Ansarullah movement a terrorist organization.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on January 11 that the ministry has notified Congress of its decision to enlist Yemeni Ansarullah a "foreign terrorist organization."
Pompeo's remarks have met with widespread reactions from Yemenis and non-Yemeni countries, figures and groups.
The US decision to declare the Ansarullah movement a terrorist group comes as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates launched a large-scale offensive against Yemen, the poorest Arab country since 2015 in a coalition of several Arab countries with US and British assistance.
The military aggression has so far resulted in nothing but the killing and wounding of tens of thousands of Yemenis, as well as the displacement of millions of deprived citizens, the destruction of infrastructure, famine, and the spread of infectious diseases in the country. 219
