Iran Press/Iran news: “Today the United States has been defeated in the West Asia region, including in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq through the efforts and struggle of your young children,” Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in a meeting with families of Afghan combatants martyred in the fighting in Syria.
According to Iran Press, Ayatollah Khamenei received a group of families of Afghan combatants who were martyred in Syria as part of the Fatemiyoun Brigade on Thursday at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him) in the northeastern city of Mashhad.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei praised the resoluteness and resistance of the Afghan youth in the fighting in Syria.
Expressing his appreciation of the sacrifices the Afghan youth have made in Syria in defense of the holy places and the Holy Prophet's household or 'Ahlul Bayt', the Leader added: “I have been told that the Afghans showed more resoluteness on the Jihad battlefields than the other forces.”
He further wished well-being and beseeched the Almighty for more resoluteness and patience for the Afghan Fatemiyoun and the families of the Afghan martyrs. 101/211
