Iran Press/America: US Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday dismissed remarks by officials about Iran's attempt to interfere in the US presidential election, citing a briefing she had with the country's intelligence officials.
Hill news website, also reported that Charles Schumer, the leader of the Democratic minority in the US Senate said that classified information provided to Congress by Richard Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, at Wednesday's meeting showed that Iran is not seeking to harm Donald Trump, the current US president.
John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence for the United States, accused Iran and Russia of trying to interfere in the upcoming US presidential election.
In the meantime; in protest to Washington's claim that Tehran is involved in the US presidential election, the Swiss ambassador to Iran and representative of the United States' interests was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The US presidential election will be held on November 3, 2020.
