UN Security Council members facing major test: Vaezi

Tehran (IP) - The chief of the presidential staff stated that members of the UN Security Council are undergoing a major test to demonstrate their independence of vote and to react negatively to the collapse of JCPOA.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mahmoud Vaezi wrote on his Twitter account that members of the UN Security Council are facing a major test to show the independence of their vote and to react negatively to the US regime's pressure to impose its will on Iran and the violation of the Resolution 2231 and the collapse of JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).

The deadline for ending Iran's arms embargo is set to expire on October 18, while the United States has made extensive efforts to prevent it in recent months.

In this regard, the United States has had consultations with members of the Security Council and intends to continue arms embargo on Iran in any way possible.
