IP - With only five months remaining until the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, passionate fans of Asian football have determined the final All-Time Dream XI for the tournament.

The formidable lineup was chosen from a pool of 48 players who have left their mark on the proud and storied history of the continent's most prestigious national team competition. Voting took place from July 12 to July 30, with the final squad being established based on the highest number of votes received in each position and input from a panel of Asian football experts.

Fans voted for Saudi Arabia's legendary goalkeeper, Mohammed Al-Deayea, as their top choice between the sticks for the Dream XI. The defensive line consists of four national and continental icons: Japan's Yuto Nagatomo and Yuji Nakazawa, Iran's Mehdi Mahdavikia, and Korean Republic's Hong Myung-bo.

In midfield, fans selected a stellar combination comprising Korea Republic legend Park Ji-sung and Japan's 2011 AFC Asian Cup winner Keisuke Honda, along with Shunsuke Nakamura, who won the AFC Asian Cup in 2000 and 2004.

Moving into the final third, fans chose three forwards who have made a name for themselves in both Asian and global football: Korea Republic star Son Heung-min, Iran's beloved legend Ali Daei, and Tim Cahill, who was crowned champion of the AFC Asian Cup in 2015.
