Kumasi (IP) - Hundreds of Ghanaians took to the streets of Kumasi in a pro-Palestinian march in Ghana, to express their solidarity with the people of Gaza and condemn the Israeli genocide.

Iran PressAfrica: Young men and women including children in the city of Kumasi, supporters of Palestine, holding up banners, flags, and placards, called for an immediate end to the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

People are holding up placards that read: ‘Stop the genocide’, as well as ‘Bombing children is not self-defense. The demonstrations are part of a “global day of action for Palestine and to call for an end to the bloodshed that has killed over 23,843 people and wounded many. A member of the socialists of Ghana Ibrahim Musa, who was part of the protest called for international bodies, especially the Arab authorities to boycott Israel and its products.

Also the Palestinian ambassador to Ghana and seen of Arab diplomatic missions in Ghana, Abdulfatah Ahmed said this protest is aimed to educate people not only about the atrocities that are happening in Gaza but also about the history of the occupation. Thousands of people gathered in central Kumasi city, members of the Palestine Youth Movement attending the march, said protesters are angry over the injustice in Gaza.
