Tehran (IP) - The Mayor of Tehran reports about the facilities to be provided for the coming Arbaeen March due to the vast participation of pilgrims.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, July 19, Alireza Zakani told reporters that as it is estimated that several million pilgrims will go to Iraq to participate in the Arbaeen March, so suitable facilities are required to be prepared for their journey.

Zakani said health, transportation, and other services were among the issues discussed in various meetings with Iraqi officials, where good agreements were reached in this regard.

Earlier on July 10, the Iraqi Minister of Health and the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) agreed with the development of cooperation between Iran and Iraq in healthcare during the Arbaeen March rituals.

The Arbaeen March is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, which marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (AS).

Every year, pilgrims from all over the world in Karbala commemorate the anniversary of the 40th day of the martyrdom of the third Shia Imam Hussein bin Ali (AS).
