Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam was the former international deputy of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, ambassador to Syria, and General Secretary of the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada who passed away in Tehran’s Masih Daneshvari Hospital from the coronavirus on March 2020.
During the event, the Syrian Foreign Minister's message Faisal Mekdad was read: Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam made the best impact in strengthening the ties between Syrian and Iran.
Faisal Mekdad emphasized in his message that the late Sheikh-ul-Islam established a solid bond of cooperation between the two countries during his tenure as an ambassador in Damascus.
