Tehran(IP)- In his Twitter account, the foreign minister of Iran announced the non-cooperation of Afghanistan for the visit of Iranian technical delegations to measure the amount of water in Hirmand stressing that the criteria for the presence and scarcity of water is a technical visit and not the issuing of a political statement.

Iran PressIran news: Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his visit to Chabahar on Thursday, said regarding Hirmand's water rights: "I warn the rulers of Afghanistan to immediately grant the water rights to the people of Sistan and Baluchistan."

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran added: "If our experts confirm the lack of water, we have nothing to say, otherwise we will not allow the rights of our people to be violated, and this issue is not something that is subject to the passage of time."

The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Maulvi Abdul Kabir also stated on the same day: "Islamic Emirate pledges once again that, keeping in mind the Helmand water agreement, it will do its best to ensure that the promised water reaches the people of Iran."

Now, in the latest reactions to this issue, Hossein Amir- Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, announced in a tweet that in recent months, I have repeatedly asked the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi, to fulfill his obligations according to the Treaty of Hirmand and provide the chance for technical teams to visit and measure the amount of water, which they did not do.
