Tatarstan (IP) - Agriculture Minister of Tatarstan Republic met with Iran's Ambassador to Moscow and called for extensive cooperation with Iran.

Iran PressEurope: Meeting with Iran's envoy Kazem Jalali, Marat Zyabbarov called for creating a workgroup to set out the priorities of the two sides' cooperation in the fields of agriculture and livestock production.

Kazem Jalali, for his part, welcomed the proposal and stressed setting up priorities based on the two sides' needs to begin cooperation.

"Despite the fact that Iran and the Republic of Tatarstan have a good capacity for cooperation, in practice the two sides do not have either imports or exports," Jalali said.

He also called for the establishment of an Iranian business center in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, to supply livestock and agricultural products, a suggestion that the Tatar Minister of Agriculture welcomed.
