Damascus (IP) - Syrian Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, met with the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, Mahdi Sobhani, on Monday, on the occasion of the end of his duties as ambassador of his country to Syria.

Iran PressMiddle East: Both sides affirmed the strength of bilateral relations and the need to open horizons for cooperation in a way that strengthens and deepens these relations and serves the interest of the two friendly peoples and countries who face common challenges.

Eng. Arnous expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by Ambassador Sobhani to develop Syrian-Iranian relations in various fields and overcome obstacles to the implementation of the agreements signed between the two countries in various sectors.

Arnous also voiced his appreciation to Iran’s leadership, government, and people for providing various types of support to the Syrian people during the years of the terrorist war against Syria, in addition to the humanitarian assistance it provided to those affected by the earthquake recently, wishing the ambassador success in his future missions.

Ambassador Sobhani pointed out that his country continues to provide support to Syria and stand by the Syrian people, stressing the continuation of work to push forward cooperation relations in the interest of the two countries and peoples.
