Iran Press/ Middle East: The Syrian official met and held talks with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Damascus, Mahdi Sobhani.
On the occasion of the end of Sobhani's duties as the Ambassador of Iran to Syria, Rahmoun praised the efforts made by Sobhani to develop the relations that serve the interest of the two friendly countries.
Rahmon thanked Iran, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, as well as the Iranian people for standing by Syria during the years of the terrorist war against the Arab country, in addition to the humanitarian assistance it provided for quake-affected people.
In turn, Sobhani affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and that Iran will continue to provide with support.
