IP - An earthquake of 6.2 magnitude struck Nepal on Tuesday. The preliminary reports say people have suffered injuries and some buildings have suffered damages.

Iran PressAsia: There have also been reports of landslides damaging the highway connecting the Western Nepal with the capital Kathmandu in the central region of the country. 

The earthquake has its epicenter in Western Nepal's Bajhang district, according to Nepal's National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre. It occurred at 3:06 pm local time. 

This was the second earthquake to strike Nepal's western region within an hour. Earlier at 2:25 pm India time, an earthquake of 4.6-magnitude was reported with its epicenter in the same Western Nepal region. 

The third earthquake had a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter Scale and occurred at 3:45 p.m. with the epicenter again in Bajhang district.

Third earthquake of magnitude 3.8 hitting shortly after twin earthquakes shook the western region of the country.

While there have been no reports of human casualties, at least five people were admitted to District Hospital Bajhang. 

The tremors of the earthquake that struck Western Nepal were also felt in several parts of North India, including in Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR).

There have been no immediate reports of damage to property or loss of life in India so far.
