Iran Press/ Iran news: The spokesman for the presidium of the Assembly of Experts, Ahmad Khatami said: "According to Leader of the Islamic Revolution's guidelines, both nuclear and non-nuclear sanctions should be removed, not suspended," stressing that this is the red line of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The ninth session of the fifth term of the Assembly of Experts was held on Wednesday, March 9, 2021, chaired by Ahmad Jannati, in the old Assembly building.
Also, Ebrahim Raisi, Iran's President who attended the event, said on Tuesday that Tehran has not backed down on any of its red lines in the Vienna sanctions removal talks on a possible revival of the 2015 deal and it will never do so in the future.
On the sidelines of the ninth official meeting of the Assembly of Experts, Ahmad Khatami in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said: "The Iranian president said that our red line is the orders of the Leader because His Eminence has given his instructions regarding the negotiations."
Ahmad Khatami said: "If the other parties comply with the orders of the Leader, that will be fine, but if they do not comply and those red lines are not observed, Iran will not be included in this agreement. This is the explicit order of the President of our country and we trust his words."
He stressed: "We are optimistic about the future and the future is bright, we have achieved our lofty aspirations with resistance, and we will reach them, God willing."
In the ninth session of the Assembly of Experts, the inauguration of 6 new candidates for the Assembly of Experts was held and they were sworn in.
Accordingly, Arafi, Pishnamazi, Daneshzadeh (Mo'men), Sa'adi, Saeedi Golpayegani, and Modarresi Yazdi, who were elected in the mid-term elections, officially became members of the Assembly of Experts after being sworn in.
This meeting was held for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8-9 2022 in Tehran.
