Tehran(IP)- The senior adviser to the Leader in international affairs, in his meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister, stressed the cooperation of member states of the resistance front to expel the US remnants from Syria and other parts of the region should continue strongly.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Akbar Velayati met the Syrian Foreign Minister on Wednesday, August 29.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, while appreciating the significant and decisive positions of the Leader and the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: "We are very grateful for the firm position of the Leader, and we consider it necessary to obey his orders. The decisive decision of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as Syria, is to stand against the invaders who have unjustly occupied the territory of this country for many years; and we will stand against them, and the position of the Leader has always been a solution to regional issues."

He also emphasized: "Iran, as the most important country of the resistance front, has provided basic and practical support so far, and we thank the Islamic Republic of Iran as the leader of the resistance front in confronting America and its destructive plans in the region."

Velayati, in the meeting, said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported and continues to support the axis of resistance, which is Syria, as one of the most important golden links in this chain, and at the same time, it opposes the positions of this country against the common compromises in the region regarding anti-Palestinian plans."

Undoubtedly, the cooperation of the member countries of the resistance front to expel the remnants of America from Syria and other parts of the region should continue strongly. The Islamic Republic of Iran will never cease from this matter. The Israeli regime and its agents are too small to be able to weaken the powerful resistance front, he added.

Velayati concluded: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, as the flag bearer of the resistance front in the region, continues to support you{Syria} as it has done so far."
