Yemen (IP) - The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government said the US forces dispatched to the region threaten the security of navigation in the Red Sea.

Iran PressMiddle East: With more than 3,000 US military personnel, the US Navy's Fifth Fleet arrived in the Red Sea aboard two warships on Monday.

Noting that the current status between Yemen and the US is war situation, Hussein al-Ezzi said on Wednesday that the security of navigation in the Red Sea, which is considered the world's vital passage, requires avoiding provocative military actions by all parties.

Al-Ezzi said that the Americans must change their calculations about their presence in the region because their 'New Middle East' plan has been failed in practice. 

Also, the Commander of Yemen's Admiralty Unit Muhammad al-Qaderi said the US forces are constantly being monitored and in case of any intrusion to the Yemeni territorial waters, they should expect due response from the Yemeni naval forces.
