Iran Press/ Middle East: According to al-Masirah, the Chairman of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, slammed the seizure of Yemeni-bound fuel ships by the Saudi-led coalition, warning that the action threatens the ceasefire.
Al-Mashat called on the Saudi-led coalition to observe the ceasefire agreement in order to resolve Yemen's humanitarian and economic problems.
He went on to say that the Saudi-led coalition tries to achieve political gains by imposing a siege on Yemen after it failed to achieve a gain militarily.
The ceasefire between the Saudi-led coalition and Sanaa began on April 2nd, according to which, the UN special envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced all land, aerial and maritime operations should stop.
This is while, referring to some violations of the ceasefire by the Saudi-led coalition, Grundberg announced on June 2nd that the two sides agreed to extend the ceasefire for two more months.
