Iran Press/Iran news: Rouhani's remarks came as he was attending the virtual inauguration of free trade and special economic zones in Iran on Thursday.
Iran's President also said that all political groups and factions should participate in the upcoming presidential elections, stressing the diversity of candidates which he defined as the key to impassioned elections.
"God willing, we will have a very good election. We always say glorious elections and elections with happy and healthy people, but what we rarely might notice is moral elections. Morality is important, otherwise, the whole world has elections, and many countries may have impassioned and healthy elections, but this is not for us", he added.
Rouhani also said: "What is expected in the Islamic Republic of Iran is a passionate, healthy election with Islamic ethics."
The 13th round of the presidential election in Iran will be held on June 18, 2021.
