Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday: "It is necessary to confront the crimes of the Zionist regime and to immediately stop the brutal attacks and killings of the oppressed and defenseless Palestinian people."
Rouhani added: "Islamic countries, especially Iran and Turkey, must use all available resources, including the capacity of international institutions such as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to confront the aggression and crimes of the Zionist regime."
The Iranian President also stressed the need to share positions and strengthen Tehran-Ankara cooperation to resolve regional crises, including Syria and Yemen, and added: "Continuation of this cooperation in the form of Astana process talks can help accelerate the resolution of crises."
Rouhani expressed hope to witness more economic and trade relations, including the facilitation of banking cooperation and transportations between the two countries.
Referring to the Vienna talks, the Iranian president stressed that today the whole world, including the United States, as the prime state in sanctioning Iran, has concluded that the maximum sanctions and pressure have failed.
"These days, we are facing Israeli atrocities and brutal attacks in occupied Palestine, which is very worrying and unfortunate," the Turkish president said.
"The international community must react strongly to these attacks, and it is imperative that the Islamic world follow a common right and action in this regard," Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Erdogan also stressed the need to strengthen and deepen economic and trade relations between Turkey and Iran as two friendly and neighboring countries.
