Iran Press / Iran: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani late on Monday also slammed US officials’ statements that the Iranian nation will not see the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, saying that the people will celebrate the occasion with great enthusiasm and gusto on the streets of cities, towns and villages throughout the country.
Addressing a gathering of Shia and Sunni scholars in Golestan province, Rouhani added that Iranian nation will resolutely respond to the United States and other arrogant powers on the national day of 22 Bahman (11 February).
Noting that today, Muslims around the world are under pressure, Iranian President said that in order to succeed against the enemy, there is no option but to return to Prophet Mohammad's (blessings of God upon him and his progeny) traditions and lifestyle.
Comparing today’s facilities with those before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Rouhani said that Iran’s electricity capacity stood at 7,000 megawatts on the first day of the Islamic Revolution, whereas now that figure has risen to 80,000 megawatts.
Iranian President also called for Iran's active presence in cyberspace, in order to counter and challenge enemy's propaganda.
