Tehran (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, when receiving the credentials of the new Brazilian Ambassador in Tehran, stressed that Iran's will had always been to develop relations with Latin American countries.

Iran PressIran news: Receiving the credentials of the new Brazilian ambassador to Tehran Ludmar Gonzalo de Agiarento, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani described the relations between Iran and Brazil as good and long-standing, saying that Iran's will has always been to develop relations with Brazil.

Referring to economic and trade relations, especially exchanges in the field of agriculture between the two countries, Rouhani added: "Using all capacities to develop relations will to the benefit of the two nations and the two countries of Iran and Brazil."

The President of Iran, stating that in recent years, despite the problems caused by US sanctions, Iran did not allow relations between the two countries to face obstacles, expressed hope that during the term of the new Brazilian ambassador to Tehran, Iran would witness further development and strengthening of relations.

Presenting his credentials to the President of Iran, the new Brazilian ambassador to Tehran called Brazil's relations with Iran good and sincere and stressed: "Despite the illegal and unilateral US sanctions against Iran, the two countries have tried to maintain good relations."

The new Brazilian ambassador to Tehran stated that the main goal of his mission in Tehran was to develop and deepen relations between the two countries in all fields and added: "Increasing the level of cooperation and relations between Iran and Brazil as two important and influential countries in the Middle East region and Latin America is a must."
